Missouri Low Income Weatherization

As a partner in the community, KCP&L sponsors a low income weatherization program to help families make their home more energy efficient to save money and improve the comfort of your home. The agency will ask each client to complete the appropriate forms which include income documentation to verify eligibility. Once eligibility is determined, the agency will conduct a pre-inspection of the home to determine what steps will produce the great energy savings.

The program includes a comprehensive energy audit performed by a trained professional energy auditor. The program includes installing energy-saving measures such as insulation, low-flow showerheads and aerators but include other measures depending on the energy needs of the home.
